Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP)
Salt Lake Behavioral Health’s IOP allows clients to maintain their work and home life, while receiving the level of care they need.
To best treat the individual needs of our adult patients, Salt Lake Behavioral Health provides separate programming for chemical dependency and behavioral health issues.
The average length of treatment is six to eight weeks, but can be tailored to patient needs. Our compassionate staff is dedicated to helping clients stay the course on their journey toward recovery. We provide an individualized, evidence-based approach to treatment for:
- Depression/bipolar disorder
- Alcohol and substance use
- Dual diagnosis
- Personality disorders
Treatment may include:
- Crisis management
- Chemical dependency treatment
- Relapse prevention
- Trauma-informed care
- Emotional management skills
- Shame Resiliency
- Life skills
- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy
- Distress tolerance and coping strategies
- Group, family and individual therapy
- Motivational interviewing
- Medication management
- Discharge planning
IOP is held Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, during morning or evening sessions. Drinks and snacks are provided for each group session.
Day: 10:00 am – 1:15 pm
Evening: 5:00 pm – 8:15 pm
Patients must attend 3 hours of therapy 3 times per week.
Our IOP clients have the option to see a psychiatric or addiction provider who can manage their medications or clients can keep their current providers. We offer Medication-assisted treatment including: Suboxone®, Vivitrol® and Subutex®, and long acting injectable medications.
